'Specific Moments' - A timeless dialogue between Edith Dekyndt and Walter Leblanc

With works specially conceived for this exhibition and inspired by her exploration of our archives and collection, Edith Dekyndt makes us discover new aspects of Walter Leblanc's oeuvre. Textures, materials and experimentation are some of the elements that reveal a unique synergy that transcends temporal boundaries. The main objective of our artistic collaborations is to foster the exchange between Leblanc's legacy and contemporary artists in order to create a living space for dialogue and research.
Through a meticulous exploration of the Foundation's archival documents, Edith Dekyndt presents works specially conceived for this exhibition, shedding light on working processes and new facets of Leblanc's artistic trajectory. This approach transcends temporal boudaries, revealing a powerful synergy between past, present and future as well as between the work of the two artists. Within the exhibition space, a carefully curated selection of Walter Leblanc's works and archives dialogue with Edith's creations, forming a symbiotic relationship that amplifies the resonnance of both artists' visions.
Textures, materials and experimentation are an essential component of Dekyndt's artistic research, offering the viewer a profound visual experience that transcends the boundaries of artistic convention. Her practice revolves around a language that is both spare and poetic, and a highly evocative materiality.
