Discover works by Walter Leblanc at Art Brussels this week! 

In ‘Behind Layers’, a curated booth organised by Bank Delen and Bank Van Breda, work of Dutch artist Linde Freya Tangelder is placed in dialogue with works by other artists. Among them is Walter Leblanc’s Twisted Strings, 1978. Sensorial in its geometry, with an interplay of light and shadow, the work is a primary example of Leblanc’s skilled manipulation of materials. Stretching fine threads across the canvas, Leblanc challenged the boundaries of traditional painting, verging on the realm of sculpture without entering a third dimension.

The work is on view at Art Brussels from Thursday 24 until Sunday 27 April 2025.
